Why Study The Bible?

The Bible is called the Word of God, because it is the primary means by which God has chosen to reveal Himself. It is God's intention that we grow in our knowledge of Him by growing in our knowledge of the Bible. This article is an apologetic regarding the uniqueness of the Bible.

The Father's Heart

The Parable called The Prodigal Son, was Rembrandt's inspiration for the painting of the same title. In this parable/painting, I see three aspects of the heart of our Heavenly Father: Grief, Compassion and Generosity. We were created and called to become like the Father.

A Colony of Heaven

I’d like to share with you a vision. I understand it to be God’s vision of the Church, as pictured in the New Testament scriptures: A multi-ethnic community of people who celebrate Jesus above their ethnicities - namely, a church built upon the Foundation of Christ, rather than any homogeneous grouping, ethnic affiliations or distinctives.

Himself

Written by A.B. Simpson (1813-1919)

"I wish to speak to you about Jesus, and Jesus only. I often hear people say, ...."

God-Centeredness

I’ve had a particular topic on my heart.  As I’ve tried to “get it on paper”, I have found it quite difficult knowing where to begin with this topic.  It seems “inseparable” from sub-topics and related topics.  The topic is “God-Centeredness” – particularly, God-Centeredness vs. Man-Centeredness in the Christian Life and Ministry of the Church.  If I were to ask you “Where should I begin?”, it seems certain you would say, “Well, obviously, begin with God (rather than Man).”  In turn, I would ask, “Why is that so obvious?”  The answer is our subject matter.
