Missions Project – Gulain Mapendano Muissa (Articles)

Gulain Mapendano Muissa and his family are a Congolese family living in a refugee settlement in Uganda.

The purpose for my writing is to reach out to local churches, house churches, ministries, and other Christian groupings which may be led by the Lord to help Gulain travel overseas, apply for asylum, and eventually be able to have his family join him.

As you read, please pray about the possibility that this may be a “missions project” that God is asking you to commit to.

If you are interested in learning more, I will provide more details of the plan and process of the project. But I would like to begin by giving you …

1 – Gulain’s Backstory

2 – Life in a Refugee Camp in Uganda

The motivation behind this Missions Project:

eBook “DOING GOOD”

“Especially to those who are of the household of the faith” – including to those in developing nations

UPDATE

March 2026

“Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the Law of Christ…. Let’s not become discouraged in doing good … let’s do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.” (Galtians 6:2, 9-10)

Kyaka ll Refugee Setttlement, Kyegegwa District, Uganda.

We have Christian brothers and sisters and their children who have fled DRC and are living in this refugee camp in Uganda with no source of income and no provision for their everyday needs. Government aid has dried up. Charitable organizations, too stretched to help, are no longer in the area.

With a minimal amount of giving from Christians in the West, these Christians can purchase fields and grow food.

With one donation, they were able to purchase one field. With a second small donation, they were able to purchase and plant corn and beans. The field was cultivated, corn and beans seeds were planted, and the seeds have now sprouted. (mid March) PLEASE PRAY FOR RAIN.

There will be at least some food for these families who gather together in the Lord.
More fields and food is needed for them to meet their need and minister to others as well.

Approximately in US Dollars:

* a male & a female goat: $400
* a rooster & a hen: $20
* another field: $150
* more corn & bean seeds: $70

Quo Vadis ? (eBook)

God is always moving forward in His kingdom plans and purposes. He never moves backward. And for those who love Him, He never stops moving in our lives for His glory. But to continue moving on with God “from glory to glory” requires our living “from faith to faith”. It takes an act of faith
