Mercy ? (eBook)

I have observed that almost every time I pray for someone I ask the Lord to “have mercy” on them. Thus far, I had thought: “He can choose to show mercy, or not show mercy.” I had not taken time to ask why He may choose to seemingly not show mercy. Does God show mercy only on His people? Does He ever show mercy on those who are not yet numbered among His people through faith? And even with those who are among His people through faith in Christ, does He sometimes not show mercy? Or is He, in fact, always showing mercy, but we don’t understand His ways?

I told the Lord, “With my questioning, I am not judging Your ways – I am just wanting to understand Your ways. Although, it may not be any of my business, and You are not obligated to explain Yourself to me.” Nevertheless, I inquired of the Lord.
